Danone Group was the major milk processing company in Russia. Furthermore, it was the ninth-largest foreign advertiser, having spent around billion Russian rubles on marketing activities in the country in 2021.
In **, Danone Group announced that it would sell its Russian business. The company expected a potential write-off of up to *** billion euros as a result of the market exit.
