In the fall of 2022, nearly half of Hungary's population fully supported teachers who went on strike demanding an increase in salary. However, another ** percent of the population believed that teachers should be patient due to the lack of financial resources caused by the economic uncertainty and the energy crisis. Moreover, ** percent of Hungarians stated that teachers did not deserve higher salaries as they had a lower number of working hours than other employees.
