Between 2010 and 2021, approximately ** million people in East Asia fell victim to forced internal displacement due to natural disasters. During the same time period, around *** thousand persons were displaced in the Pacific region. The Philippines is one of the most affected countries in the Asia-Pacific region, with over ** million people displaced in the country during this time period. Floods were the weather-related hazard accounting for the highest number of displacements across the APAC region.
