In 2020, about 141.4 out of 10 thousand female individuals in Italy were treated for some kind of mental health disorder in local mental health facilities (Centro di Salute Mentale - CSM). This statistic breaks down this figure by diagnosis. The most common mental health disorders detected among the Italian female population were depression, schizophrenia, and psychoses. The diagnosis-related groups registering the lowest prevalence were instead the ones referring to alcoholism and drug addiction.
