According to a survey conducted in 2021 among Italian consumers who purchased bitters and liqueurs or distilled and spirits online, generic online retail websites were found to be the preferred channel for both categories of alcoholic beverages. As for supermarket websites, about ** percent of those who purchased bitters and liqueurs online chose them, while only ** percent of those who purchased distillates and spirits chose them. Only ** percent of the former and ** percent of the latter chose the manufacturer's website for their purchases.
