As of 2019, Libya accounted for 6.2 percent of the crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGL) imported into the European Union (EU-27). The percentage of Libya's imports into the EU increased annually from 2017 onwards. In 2019, Russia, Iraq, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Norway, and Libya were the main crude oil and NGL suppliers of the EU.
