As of 2021, 0.81 percent of exports from Nigeria were base metals and articles thereof. The share slightly increased from 0.28 percent in the preceding year. Considering the period under review, base metal exports reached a peak in 2019, when they represented 4.2 percent of Nigeria's total exports.
