According to the findings of a survey conducted in February 2022, a third of Hungarians were of the Opinion that Viktor Orbán's reason for refusing to participate in a prime ministerial debate before the elections was that he wanted to avoid potential uncomfortable topics. A further 31 percent of the responents believed that Orbán simply found the debate unnecessary.
