More than 11,800 road traffic casualties were reported in Nigeria during the fourth quarter of 2021. Of those, around 10.2 thousand were injuries, while 1.7 thousand were registered deaths. In the previous quarter, approximately 8.8 thousand injuries and 1.4 thousand deaths, both resulting from road traffic crashes, were counted in the country.
