In 2022, the volume of crude oil produced in Ghana - some 7.2 million metric tons of oil equivalent - exceeded that of other primary energy fuels and flows in the country. For biomass and natural gas, the produced quantity reached around four million and three million metric tons of oil equivalent, respectively. Overall, the total primary energy produced in Ghana reached approximately 14.9 million metric tons of oil equivalent that year.
