In 2024, fireworks bought for New Year's Eve generated *** million euros in sales in Germany. This was an increase compared to 2023 and 2022, however, a big increase compared to 2021 and 2020, when the German government had forbidden setting off fireworks in the street at the end of 2020 due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
