In 2020, domestic tourist spending in Tunisia accounted for nearly 1.7 billion U.S. dollars of expenditure. International visitors instead contributed around 967 million U.S. dollars as of the same year. However, both types of tourist expenditure decreased compared to 2019 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
