In 2022, the refugee population from Venezuela had the highest asylum application approval rate in Mexico, with 93 percent. The asylum seekers from Honduras were the second refugee group with the highest acceptance rate, with more than 90% of approved applications by the Mexican Commission for Refugee Assistance. During that same year, the largest number of asylum seekers in Mexico originated from Honduras.
