As of 2018, before the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the share of investment assets in the Ghanaian life insurance market was highest in terms of land and buildings held as an investment, which covered nearly ** percent of the total life insurance assets. Moreover, ** percent of the investment assets were term deposits held at a licensed bank in the country, while percent were Government of Ghana securities.
