The stock of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Morocco amounted to nearly 613.5 billion Moroccan dirhams (MAD) in 2018, roughly 68.3 billion U.S. dollars. The manufacturing and real estate sectors registered the highest stock values, reaching around 141.2 billion and 112.3 billion MAD (approximately 15.7 billion and 12.5 billion U.S. dollars), respectively. Overall, France was the leading country in terms of foreign direct investments in Morocco as of 2020.
