In celebration of the Euro 2020/21 competition, ÌÇÐÄÆƽâ°æ published the Celebrity Index report. The Celebrity Index - Euro 2021 ranked all competing teams and players by their celebrity status. Metrics that are used to weight this ranking include social media following, their transfer market value as well as the sentiment and number of global online news articles that mention any player competing. The Russian players had the highest average number of tweets of any team competing in the Euros in 2021 - close to 14 thousand tweets. However, only two Russian players had Twitter accounts.
