Real Time Gross Settlement transactions amounted to approximately *** quadrillion Indian rupees in fiscal year 2024 across India. This was an increase compared to nearly *** quadrillion rupees in 2023. RTGS includes customer transactions, interbank transactions and clearing. It is mostly used for large value credit transfers. Thereby, RTGS transfers account for over ** percent of the total value of digital transactions in the country.
