In 2020, Nigeria counted 1.3 million international migrants. By mid-year, about 45.5 percent of migrants in Nigeria were female. Young migrants aged 19 years or younger accounted for 30.5 percent of the total amount, whereas people aged 65 years and older held 3.8 percent of the total share.
