As of 2017, refrigerators were the most-owned household appliances in the overseas departments and regions of France, with a total of 99 percent of households of Guadeloupe and 97 percent in Martinique owning one. On the contrary, less than 20 percent of overseas households possessed a dishwasher that same year.
