In 2022, the production value of the Spanish biotech sector amounted to approximately 20 billion euros, up from around 18 billion euros reported a year earlier. During the period analyzed, this figure has grown by about 216 percent. In the last year depicted, more than half of the biotech companies in Spain were micro-SME with less than 10 employees.
