According to a survey of the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) models in the cloud and edge computing environment, it is found that the collection of data, as well as training and inferencing of AI/ML models take place both at the edge and in the cloud. The computing/networking devices and proximate datacenters at the edge, as well as distant datacenters and public cloud, are places where most data collection, training and inferencing take place.
