The global shared motor scooter fleet increased rapidly between 2018 and 2020 to some * units by the end of June 2020. Shared mobility provides on-demand personal transportation at a lower cost than personal ownership. Shared motor scooter operations are restricted to large cities where the service has a large consumer base. While some European cities have large shared motor scooter fleets, the surge in the global fleet size has been driven by India.
