In 2022, the number of new passenger car registrations in Denmark amounted to about 148,300 units. This was a significant decline compared to the previous year, when more than 185,000 passenger cars were newly registered. Volkswagen was by far the most sold car brand in Denmark in 2022, with over 17,000 new registrations, followed by Toyota and Mercedes-Benz.
