In Norway, male immigrants are employed to a higher extent than female immigrants. Over the past decade, however, the gender gap decreased. In 2012, 61 percent of women with an immigrant background were employed in the Scandinavian country, compared to 72 percent of their male counterparts. As of 2022, the employment rate among female immigrants reached nearly 65 percent, while the employment rate among men amounted to nearly 73 percent.
