In France, insurance companies use policyholders' declarations to calculate their risk and the amount of their contribution. A false declaration is a form of insurance fraud, and fraud is very expensive for insurance companies. However, if we look at the proportion of French people who have actually made a false claim, it appears that, although **** percent of them said that they had indeed already reported an intentional damage at least once to their insurance company, a large majority of the respondents had never resorted to this type of fraud.
