It is evident that the average sales price of guavas on markets in South Africa followed a gradual positive trend, with an overall increase of 307.3 percent in the period from 2000 to 2018. However, a few dips in the average price can be noticed in 2010/2011 and 2014/2015 at 3.14 percent and 1.59 percent, respectively. In 2017/2018, the average sales price for guavas was approximately 10.51 thousand South African rands per metric ton (which is comparable to 608.83 U.S. dollars per metric ton).
