In the season 2018/2019, the production of Arabica coffee in Kenya was done predominantly by smallholder farmers from co-operatives. These growers produced nearly 30.9 thousand metric tons of coffee in the period, accounting for 69 percent of the total. In contrast, the estate farmers generated some 14 thousand metric tons.
