In August 2021, Kenya expanded the tea exports to Pakistan by 35 percent, amounting to approximately 18.6 million kilograms. The country was the largest importer of Kenyan tea that month. The exports increased notably to Iran and Egypt, by 758 percent and 514 percent, respectively. On the other hand, there was a reduction to key markets, such as the United Kingdom (minus eight percent) and Yemen(minus 41 percent).
