Projected to a total urban population of 28.2 million residents of at least one year of age
Supplementary notes
* The survey sample consists of approximately 10,000 households, which sums up around 30,000 people.
The Encuesta de Viajes y Turismo de los Hogares (EVyTH) is carried out from February to May of each year since 2012 to collect information on tourism behavior among Argentinians. The results of the survey are projected over the total population living in urban agglomerates with more than 100 thousand inhabitants.
Tourism travel is defined by the source as visit of up to one year to a destination located outside the usual home environment. Trips to second homes are considered tourist trips. Work transfers and business travel are excluded. The EVyTH defines destinations outside the usual home environment those more distant than 40Km (for the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and the Greater Buenos Aires region) and 20km (for the rest of the urban conglomerates), as long as the destination is not visited on a weekly basis.
