In 2022, ** percent of companies traded on the National Equity Exchange and Quotations in China belonged to the manufacturing industry. The second most represented industry was the information transmission, software, and IT industry. Similar to the ChiNext board in Shenzhen and the Star A board in Shanghai, the NEEQ had the reputation as a source of funding for young and innovative companies. The listing requirements were more lenient and listing followed a registration procedure instead of requiring approval from government regulating bodies.
