In April 2020, arrivals at accommodation establishments in Austria fell to around 40 thousand due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, down from 2.56 million recorded in the same period a year earlier. In June, the number of arrivals in Austrian accommodations reached nearly 1.5 million. Arrivals include both residents and non-resident stays in tourist accommodation.
