In April 2020, arrivals at accommodation establishments in Malta fell to around 640 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, down from nearly 190 thousand recorded in the same period a year earlier. By June, then number of tourist arrivals in accommodations in Malta recovered to around 15 thousand. Arrivals include both residents and non-resident stays in tourist accommodation.
