In the observed period, the vast majority of banks' expenditure on development and innovation in Poland was allocated to optimize already applied solutions and gradual development of technological resources. In 2018, outlays for these purposes amounted to approximately *** million zloty. A relatively large part of the expenses (*** million zloty) served the development of network infrastructure and IT resources in banks, allowing for the implementation of cloud computing in the banking sector in the coming years.
