Over the past years, professional sports leagues have gained significant popularity, offering great entertainment to fans watching live in the stadiums and back home on TV. However, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in 2020 had a huge impact on the sport industry, leading to the cancelation of many leagues and championships across all sports. One way in which professional sports were safely reintroduced was to play the games out in empty stadiums. In a survey conducted in the United States in May 2020, ** percent of respondents stated that watching live sport on television would be much less enjoyable without fans in the stadium.
