Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and travel ban in most countries, the hotel industry suffered significantly in 2020. Total revenue per available room (TRevPAR) in Italy decreased by 93.5 percent in March 2020 compared to the same month of the previous year. Most countries analyzed experienced at least a 50 percent decrease.
