Between mid-February and mid-March 2020, flour was the top-selling food product in Italy, with an increase of 79 percentage points in sales value, compared to the same period of 2019. During the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, sales value of canned meat grew by 63 percent, while rice was the third-best selling product, with an increase of 49 percent.
