Between 17 and 22 March, there was a drastic decrease in the number of people willing to buy in Poland for all types of shops due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In hypermarkets, the number of customers decreased by 25 percent. However, the most significant drop was recorded by drugstore chains. According to the source, even the discount segment, which controls one-third of the Polish FMCG market, recorded a decrease in the number of customers by 10 percent.
