According to projections from March 2020, the travel and tourism sector in Germany is expected to be the most affected in Europe by the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, with an estimated 1.6 million jobs at risk. In Russia, around 1.1. million jobs are at risk in the tourism sector, while Italy and the UK are also expected to be highly affected.
