ByteDance, the Chinese parent company of the popular video-sharing social network TikTok, donated in total 436.8 million U.S. dollars for combating the coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, making it one of the biggest doners in this pandemic. Other tech companies such as Alibaba and Baidu have also made various amount of donations in combating the novel virus.
