In 2022, the production value of health care goods and services in Mexico amounted to around two trillion Mexican pesos, out of which approximately 33 percent, or 642.57 billion pesos, corresponded to hospital services. Outpatient care medical services amounted to close to 416 billion Mexican pesos. That same year, the country's spending on health represented 5.5 percent of its gross domestic product (GDP).
