In the week ended February 23, 2020, the dollar sales of personal thermometers in drug stores rose by 23.1 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. In the same time, drug store sales of hand sanitizers grew by about 80.7 percent compared to the previous year. Some of these increases were likely triggered by the coronavirus pandemic.
