Viscose is commonly used in clothing and apparel products, but cannot be said to be the most environmentally-friendly of fibers, since a lot of toxic chemicals go into the production of viscose. Research looking into the proportion of viscose used in popular fashion brands' products showed that the British retailer Marks & Spencer and the Spanish fashion brand Desigual used about ** percent of viscose in their clothing products. Another fast fashion brand from the UK, New Look had ** percent of viscose fiber used in their apparel products.
