In October 2018, a survey was conducted in Italy concerning the materials utilized for the load-bearing structure of non-residential buildings to be completed between 2018 and 2019. Reinforced concrete, precast concrete, and on-site reinforced concrete accounted for about a quarter of the structure weight each. Wood was much less used as a building material, accounting for only percent of the non-residential structures.
