Forecasted sown area with grain yields in Russia by 2024, by type and region
The most exported agricultural commodities from Russia were cereals and legumes as of 2018, which were forecast to develop positively in the coming years as well. According to the inertial development scenario of the Russian agri-sector, the Volga Federal District would account for the largest sown area with cereal and grain cultivates in 2024. The Siberian and Southern Federal Districts were expected to be second and third major producers of cereals and grains countrywide in 2024, respectively.
