According to about a survey on non-alcoholic beer consumption, a majority of Indian respondents who did not consume it did so to stay away from any kind of beer, alcoholic or otherwise. This share was highest at ** percent higher among respondents who were between 45 and 54 years old.
New flagship brands from beverage giants Coca-Cola and PepsiCo were set to compete with non-alcoholic beers in the Indian urban markets in 2019. Among many reasons, this was a result of a recent decrease in the consumption of carbonated beverages as well as in alcoholic beverages.
