Because it has an impact on the future, every reform of the pension system in France is well-discussed and can lead to many debates. Thus, this bar chart shows the results of a survey conducted with business leaders in France in 2019.

The French government prepares a reform of the pension system whose goal is to abolish special pension schemes and create a single pension scheme. The survey asked French business leaders what impact they expected the pension system reform to have on their company's business because of mobilizations and strikes planned by unions. It appears that 48 percent of French business leaders thought that this reform would have a low impact on their company. Meanwhile, 50 percent of French business leaders thought that the pension system reform would have a negative impact for them as individuals.
