Employees whose jobs required intensive use of information technology occupied over 42 percent of the total number of people working in the financial and insurance industry of Russia, with more than five percent of them being IT specialists and the rest occupying other IT-intensive positions. By comparison, in the education sector, 9.5 percent of professions were closely related to IT, where IT specialists had a share of less than one percent.
