In Q1 2018, there were about **** million malicious installation packages detected on mobile devices by Kaspersky Lab. There were a lot of incidents in Malaysia in which a scammer claimed to be from a Malaysian law enforcement agency (LEA) and sent the victim a link via a mobile messaging app and instructed the victim to click on a phishing link. The mobiles would then be affected by malicious mobile apps which would share credential information to the scammer.
