Employment levels in Great Britain in the spirits manufacturing industry fluctuated between 7,552 in 2012 and 9,275 in 2015. In 2017, approximately 9,000 people were employed in the industry. Over the period in consideration, Scotland had been the focal manufacturing center with approximately nine in ten distilling jobs being based there.
