The electronics robotics market is the second-largest market for industrial robotics. In 2018, the sales value of new robot installations in this industry peaked at around *** billion U.S. dollars. In 2019, the sales value dropped considerably to some *** billion U.S. dollars and is projected to stagnate at least until 2022.
By 2022, almost ** percent of the robots will be sold in Korea, Japan, and China. The markets in the United States and Germany cover only a small part of this industry since most electronic goods are produced in Asia due to lower production costs.
